Jason McAteer, a former right-back. A favorite of Liverpool fans in the 90’s, expressed the view that he was confident that if he played for the Reds in this series with Jurgen Klopp as a manager. He would not be good. Lost to Trent Alexander-Arnold.
McAteer is now 50 years old, having moved from Bolton Wanderers. Joined the Reds in 1995 and was also positioned as an attacking midfielder before being moved low to wing-back and right-back respectively by manager Roy Evans.
Unfortunately, over the course of four seasons, McAteer is playing at Anfield. He had never won a single championship at all. The best would be to reach the 1995-96 FA Cup final and lose to all-time antagonist Manchester United.
“I believe with all my heart that his style of play at right-back fits perfectly with Jurgen Klopp’s football philosophy,” the Irish legend told the UFABET.
“Let’s say if I’m part of the current Liverpool squad, the fight for right-back is with Trent Alexander-Arnold. It must be so fierce that the whole world will surely watch it.” McAteer is playing at Anfield. He had never won a single championship at all.
