Sergio Ramos could be set to join the La Liga giants if an agreement with Corinthians is reached.
Corinthians chief executive Fabinho Soldado told ESPN on Wednesday that former Spain defender Sergio Ramos, 38, is on the club’s transfer list.
Ramos remains without a club after leaving Sevilla in the summer, although he has been link with a move to Real Madrid, who are struggling with a number of defensive injuries, but Los Blancos reject the chance to bring the 38-year-old back to Old Trafford over the objections of club president Florentino Perez.
However, Ramos’ experience is still in demand by several teams, one of which is Brazilian club Corinthians. Who previously UFABET signed Memphis Depay.
‘There are many names that appear on the transfer market, which is a crucial time of the year. Not only Sergio Ramos is mention, there are many others. We analyse and of course we have to prioritise this position. The financial issue is also important and we will always choose the best for Corinthians,’ Soldado said.
The veteran Spanish centre-back, who is a free agent after his contract with Sevilla expires in the summer, is still training alone as he looks for a new adventure before finishing his career. He has also be link with Flamengo, Botafogo and Vasco da Gama, also of Brazil, as well as teams in Saudi Arabia and Qatar. He will not, however, be rejoining Real Madrid.
